What should we avoid if we are planning a pregnancy?
We strongly recommend you avoid cigarettes and illegal drugs completely and alcohol in excess. Studies have shown these decrease the chance of pregnancy.
Is there a waiting list at Ballarat IVF?
We do not have a waiting list for fertility treatment. Treatment is started when it is medically appropriate for the couple.
Why do I have to sign a consent form for some procedures?
Signed consent forms are required for IVF, ICSI and embryo and sperm freezing procedures. A nurse coordinator or your counsellor will explain the consent forms to you. They contain important information about the benefits and risks associated with procedures.
Is there an infertility support group in Ballarat?
