Dr Ania Sliwinski is an Australian trained consultant urologist who completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne. She went on to complete her surgical training across both metropolitan and regional hospitals in Victoria to gain accreditation from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She trained in male infertility microsurgery at the Centre for Male Reproductive Medicine and Microsurgery at the Cornell Institute for Reproductive Medicine and went on to perform the Geelong’s first microsurgical testicular sperm harvesting procedure in 2023.
Prior to medical training she completed a Bachelor of Medical Science and was awarded a first class Honours for her research thesis. She has presented research at local and international conferences and was awarded the Alban Gee Award for best presentation at the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) Conference in 2018. Ania is passionate about training the next generation of surgeons and has been active in workshops and exam preparation for urology trainees. She has also been an instructor at cystoscopy workshops for the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Ania has professional memberships in the Urology Society of Australia and New Zealand; the American Urological Association, European Association of Urology and the Fertility Society of Australia and New Zealand.
